That's just beautiful, Janice. Someday maybe I'll get a camera that can get shots like that!

We usually have 4 to 5 regular visitors in our garden. Being so territorial as they are one ends up chasing the other away or makes a close guard over our garden from the city trees, then they make a quick dive bomb towards the nectar feeders or at the Kniphofia blooms Big Grin

Quite a rainy chilly day today 29Feb, does not deter this little hummie from getting his fill:

Thumb of 2012-02-29/tarev/16d4ad

Adding more photos: Seems like the same hummie trying to finish off the feeder..must be feeling really hungry with the cold weather:

I was outside and saw the Black-crested Titmouse on the hummer feeder. Then here came the hummer...stopped when it saw the bird and flew around nearby. The bird finally left and the hummer came up to use it. I couldn't help but wonder what the hummers think when they sees birds using their feeder!

We are having very strong winds today gusting between 25 to 40mph..but life goes on with the hummies..my feeders are busy with the hummies balancing themselves as they try to get their drink, the super quick fluttering of their wings at times make them seem to be wingless and floating on air Smiling
