I have been following Joanne for quite awhile now, over at DG,first. I love, love petunias also! I start many from seeds.Bubblegum is a favorite. I keep a plant over in my greenhouse & take cuttings. It is soo easy.Waves take up a lot of space in the greenhouse. I keep pinching them, which makes them bushy anyway.
I have a coldframe full. We added a big south window to a garden shed & I have large plants in there. It has gotten pretty cold, but everything looks good. I overwinter several plants so it only follows that I have insects to deal with. So far,no aphids. Of course when the weather got warmer, the dreaded white flies
showed. I got right after them & am happy to say this morning,I didn't find a one!
I haven't transplanted the tomatoes yet. Am wondering where they will fit.
Seems like the last 2-3 springs have been challenging, weatherwise. But I fear this is the new normal.

Wow!! I feel like such a slacker after seeing Joanne's greenhouse! Doris, you sound like very ambitious also--with a greenhouse, coldframe and indoor plants, how do you keep up with it all?

I'm running out of space under my lights, as well. This darned weather won't cooperate. I've got my coldframe full (4 flats) but still have 9 4" shelves filled with small plants and seedlings. Why won't this spring weather show up on time?

I could use a greenhouse just to keep things a little drier. It would never stand through our storms though, I'm sure.
