I don't have air conditioning either. My problem with open windows at night is the neighbors. In the morning after a night of windows open, my house can smell like garbage, or the musty greasy odor of their used outdoor grills. Everyone else use air conditioning, so they don't care.

This is why my computer is in the basement, where the temperature is always pleasant.

Did not know lily shows were ranked in any kind of a format at all!

That's the first time I have ever seen a vegetable incorporated into a lily arrangement. (other than our traditional rhubarb used to prop stems in their vases.)

That arrangement with the rebar is pretty funky. Not sure I'd like it on my dining room table, though...

Wow. To have all of those lilies in one place. I, if you can even believe it, have never attended a lily show in my life. It's something I need to do though. The excitement you feel is so palpable Anthony. Nice job you and Molly on your lilies. You do a beautiful job with them. One day I hope to have such lily excitement. Congrats!

I think the 'vegetable motor vehicle' sounds like fun and a great activity for involving kids.

I can tell liliums are pretty popular down under judging from that show photo. Congratulations on the success of your show ! I'm sure being president of the show and nurturing it along the way is a big stress so kick back and relax with a few beers .

I kind of like that manly rebar arrangement. It gives me some ideas for all the excess rebar kicking around my place. Normal use is for staking lilies and stringing peas!

I didnt get a pic of mollys parsnip car, i hope the show site did!!..,i DID VERY WELL IN THE 'OPEN' SUBSECTIONS[caps off],.,.We also have a photographic section, which always is full[about 150],..,Pets in the garden-Macro-Scenery-Roses-and of course lilies,.,.This year we included a category for native grasses..

We always have a brilliant stage set Massive lily blooms from 'Glenbrook'.. It takes John about 7-8 hrs to do the stage
