Seems like the surface of every pot in my GH is getting covered with algae. Anyone know how to deal with that problem? Never had that happen before!

You can use a fork and break up the soil around your plant. It's caused by over watering, but when you dry it out you will be left with a hard crust on top that prevents the water to steep in.

The best solution and always works, is transplant the plants into a bigger pot (a little deeper to cover the algae). Problem solved and don't over water

What are you using to store your plants in the picture? What is hanging from the ceiling or roof? Looks like a nice set-up.

You can always just repot your soil, but I don't think that algea will harm any of your plants...

Wow, I had no idea that can happen. I just put up a green house and am working with a hydroponics system. thanks for alerting me to this, I will definitely be careful about humidity and watering.

Actually, I think the problem may be partly because of our water system here. We really need to flush the system again.
