i can not say that we can grow here for sure. their natural zone is 5 but can be grown from 4-9 or in house with bright light or green houses. I am betting on it I am getting 2 my self but i am told buy 3 company's including GURNEYS that most are self pollinating. only one place i can find that states otherwise. I suggest do some research to see what you can find out.

please read the 2nd post again that is where im keeping you up to date on changes and GAMES!!!.

Is there anything anyone is looking for that we might be able to include in this co-op? SPEAK UP.

Both links worked for me Mike.

I'm going to check some sites about the Goji. It should only be 1 or 2 if they are self pollinating, the second one could help it produce more and the third would insure a great harvest. But I will check on it anyway.

Ok, I checked several sites and this is what I found on all of them.

Goji berry is an easy to grow deciduous perennial shrub that produces abundant sweet red berries. Goji berries are extremely high in antioxidants surpassing even blueberries!

Goji berry is very cold hardy, purportedly surviving winters as cold as -10 Fahrenheit. The goji berry is self-fertile so you only need one plant to get started, however greater pollination will occur with additional plants.

The health benefits of goji berry are making waves in the west. Goji berries contain: 11 essential and 22 trace dietary minerals, 18 amino acids, 6 essential vitamins, 8 polysaccharides and 6 monosaccharides. This makes goji berries one of the most nutrient dense foods man has discovered.

When- Plant your live goji berry plant in the spring after the last frost date or in the fall before the first frost date. If you purchased a dormant goji berry plant you can plant it as soon as you receive it during winter months.

Goji berry plants will flower from summer until first frost. Fruit will follow flowers by a few weeks.

Where- Goji berry plants prefer full day sun but will tolerate half-day sun. Select a site where the soil is high in organic matter, well drained and neutral to slightly alkaline soil. A soil P.H. of 7-8 is ideal.

Goji berry plants are hardy in USDA zones 6-9 so please check your location to make sure the plants have a chance of surviving your winters.

Goji berry can sometimes take over the world depending on conditions. Just so everyone is aware of that. It will root where it touches the ground and a thicket can get huge ... and prickly.

I personally would think the smaller plants would be fine ... and much less expensive. Since I already have plants I'm not going to worry about a pollinator and hope for the best. I'd like three of the smaller size but Gurney's plants can be dinky sometimes so small may really be very small as in about 3" tall.

Someone here has grown Goji:

I garden for the pollinators.

ok THANKS ROBIN FOR INFO AND YES GURNEY WAS JUST A CO I WAS COMPARING I DID HOWEVER TAKE IT OP ON MY SELF TO ORDER ALREADY 10 Goji Berrie plants of those I am taking 2 that leaves 8 more. as i talked to 7 suppliers they all had ones between 3" and 12" NO BIGGER for a decent price. one nursery said they ship bare root and semi dormit the clip top branches and tap root. This seems real risky due to SEMI DORM IT . if they where completely dorm it thats one thing and i dont like cutting tap root and they where 19.00 per plant plus shipping, they say you receive 6-12" plants so i passed

I thought long and hard and for me i got what would be a good deal they are small well rooted in a 2x2x3 pot shipped in pot! i think that way you dont disturb roots till planting shipping fed ex so cold no problem and the best price i could get was 6.50 ea including shipping!!!! i think it is worth it to start with that and let them grow in you own location. I will get them the first part of the week and will take care of them till shipping time @ no cost to you. I can get more if needed but they are selling fast that is why i ordered already. so FIRST COME gets them I know a few have said they will take them so i will take that as a yes if you still want them.

I am starting on spreadsheet today and the great JoAnn is helping when its ready i will start loading info on it.

sorry i have not been around in AM my sleep if all F**CK up im awake till 7-8 am and sleep till 4-5 pm i hate it!!!

does anyone have any thoughts on the 2 yr old Mary Washington roots?

I'm guessing 5.

Two year plants are good for me. They do send up stalks at that age, I just let them leaf out the first year and not cut them off.

Yes to 2 Goji Berries for me.

Doing some research on cherry bushes that I want so talk later.
