We went to the UC Davis Arboretum yesterday, and as expected not much colorful plant life being winter, but it is a fun area to do bird watching Big Grin

Watching the ducks enjoying their winter turf:

Great shots of the Canada Geese, tarev. Thumbs up

The bird looks like perhaps some type of Cormorant, but I'm not certain about that.
I garden for the pollinators.

Oh got to share something.....
I didn't get to see them, but my next door neighbor emailed me the other day, she said she tried to call me but I wasn't home. Seems when she got up after daylight she noticed three white geese in her swimming pool. She woke her husband and they watched through the windows for a while, then crept out on the deck and took a few pictures. They floated for a couple hours, with them checking off and on. Then the husband had to go to the hardware store. He slowly went down the stairs and to the car, started it and left.... came home and parked out front not to scare them off. The geese never tried to fly away.
Shortly after 11 am their daughter came over to see the geese, and right away told them they weren't real! My neighbor said they really felt stupid at that point after spending so much time watching them. It seems the son who lives two houses down put them in the pool late that night to pay his Dad back for a prank he pulled a few days earlier!!!

I had a good laugh about it hope you all did too! Rolling on the floor laughing
