I already received their catalog last week, and here is the link to their updated website. Love LINDA BELL!

I got his catalog 2 weeks ago. I like LINDA BELL except for the 22" scape. If it would have been taller I may have gotten it.

You know, after I really looked at the catalog I'm really taken with CHARIOTS OF GOLD too. I just love the colorful oranges, golds and yellows -- so bright in the garden. And I agree about the 22" height on LINDA BELL. It seems like I never notice those things right off, I just react to the pictures. I really wanted SISTER OF PRAISE too, but then I finally noticed it's a Dormant and that cooled my heels a bit. Year before last I placed an order with Bell's and got beautiful big plants, and they included their HARVEST SKY as a gift plant. And I totally love it!

When I first starting buying daylilies I didn't know a thing about evergreen, semi, or dormant; I just bought what I liked. The dormants I have or had do/did well here so I don't hesitate to buy them now. Fred's "LILLIAN'S ALABAMA PRIDE" and James Hall's "BUDDY'S BLONDY" are dormants and do well here. I have dormants that me and Kim will be hybridizing with to try and get southern hardy dormants that do well here as well as in the north. We haven't had that cold of a winter, we've only had a couple of super cold days here and there and the dormants have done fine. Actually they are doing better than the semis. With it being warm here most days the daylilies put out new growth, but then when we have a couple of nights of freezing, on some it turns the new growth to mush which rots and can go into the crown and cause the whole thing to rot. I sprayed everything except the seedlings with a mixture of Banrot and Subdue Maxx today to help keep anything from rotting. If the seedlings rot then that just weeds out the ones that we wouldn't want to keep anyway.

If the price of SISTER OF PRAISE gets to where you won't worry too much about losing it then you may want to try it; it may do good there.

I did get Sister of Praise in 1020 but it did not bloom last year. I may have to move it and rework the soil where it is at so may take another year to see anything. Grumbling
