Do you want a percentage off, when you reach a certain point? Do you like the growers to choose and give you tons, or do you want to qualify for a special one and pick it out yourself?

I was treated on the Mid America site.
I like to controle the colors that come mostly.
Mid America had a link at the bottom of their pages that linked the client with the bonuses they ere offering for orders.
We could choose a number of bonus Iris depending on the net amount of the order.

I dont have a problem with beardless iris bonuses that just get included with an order. They are mostly blues, lavanders, and whites.

I guess I would say I don't want a percentage off, as the other two options always seem to net bigger results.

I agree.I am building gardens here so would preferr plants.
Its always nice to have the choice .

Rosy Dawn and Hallsons include bonuses and they always take a clue from my order and send a companion or ,in the case of hostas if my order is for large hostas he will include a medium.

I like to try to send one of my or other peoples introductions with orders over 50.00 and if the customer has suggestions we try to give one or more from the list.

Since I am digging the iris I prefer to do rhizomes (plants) for bonus.

You get more bang for your buck that way I feel

Too many plants & not enough empty spaces. I no longer want extra plants (it was handy when first starting). Some people will listen, others will not.

I would like as a bonus a choice of intros that they have introduced in the last 5 years. As many as my order would qualify for, based on purchased amount. That would make me very pleased indeed.

K Hurray!

If you order a new introduction from many of the hybridizers they will send another new introduction as a bonus -- love it! Joe Ghio always does that, but then he also sends along some plants from other hybridizers that I always think he's just trying to get rid of. However, that's how I got my very favorite near-black iris, CRIMSON LIGHTS, so I'm not complaining...

I like bonus plants - and am thrilled with whatever they send me. Sometimes it is new or recent intro's which I always appreciate since I always have to wait a few years before I can afford an intro. Last year Keith Keppel sent me Tuscan Summer, which was one I coveted but couldn't afford yet. Can't wait until it blooms. Eventually I may ask for no bonus, or an extra fan of one I already have ordered. But for now, I love the surprise. In fact, I might not identify a bonus (some hybridizers ask for a list of "wants") but may describe what colors or type I prefer~Jan

I like the idea of adding an extra fan of one ordered.
I have not ordered in 3's and just learned to do that.It would have been niceto have a third of any I ordered last july.

I like it when I can pick my own bonus from a list of choices. Expecially if those are new current years intros like Schreiners does it. I don't much want old iris for bonus as I just don't have endless room.

I always have my orders sent to me in mid to late July. When the box arrives, It's like having a mid-year Chrismas! I'm like a kid tearing them open to see if they have arrived safely, and looking for which bonuses they've sent. The only thing more fun, is seeing them bloom the next spring! Sometimes Keith Keppel has sent me as many bonus iris as the number I've ordered. Often they are new releases. Iris4U has often included more then one rhizome of each that I ordered, and many gift irises, ususally some new into's. I have learned now to have prepared more planting space then for just what I have orderd. If the send one I already have, or don't really want, I have friends who will take them.

I'm the same way! I just love whipping everything out of the box to see what bonus plants I received! I think Keith Keppel and Joe Ghio give the most bonuses, but perhaps that's because I do pretty large orders with them. Last year I ordered more form Superstition and Napa Country than I had in the past, and both of them gave me fantastic bonus plants too, including new introductions. But all the growers give really nice bonuses, I think. And if I get one that I really do not want, my neighbor across the street is always right there, ready to take any extras from me. We have a nice little system going now...

I gyess I like the surprise bonuses best too. I look up the label and see what the colors are and then decide where to plant them. Bonuses from Dee Stewart last year were the beginning of a new iris spot in the garden. I am just getting used to the fact ,iris dont need to be planted in rows like mu gramma did. Polly also did all iris growers a favor by telling me she buys them in sets of 3.
Thank you Polly!!!!!

The most bonus I got were from Rockytop. Ordered Iris were large clumps that could have been divided right away and bonus iris were the same. Most were double clumps of all the bonus iris. Just a fantastic place to order.
