Thank you both so much. This will be a long healing process. Ray went to the emergency room via EMT on Fri.. Problem, kidney stone had totally blocked his only Kidney. Stone had also caused infection that spread into his blood stream. When the blood culture was done, it showed Ray was having Congestive Heart Failure. Then Fri.(13th) against the better judgment of the Doctors,Ray had surgery to remove cancer from his back. Dr. said Ray was cut all way to his Ribs. Please pray the Cancer won't reappear some place else. This all happened in 8 days but it felt like 8 weeks.

Oh Faye Group hug Group hug Extra prayers coming your way. I'm so sorry to hear this. Was he aware he had cancer before this? What a horrible 8 days that must've been. Hope he's on the mend now and hope you took care of yourself during this time too.... You need to do that, you know.

Hi everyone Smiling I'm still alive, but I lost most of my semps. I have a few left and I hope they do well this year. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their hobbies this winter. It's been a very mild winter for us, so far.
Hugs,
Lin

LOL..Honestly,(me) I think it was an expensive learning process on growing semps. I feel I know much more now than before. It was learning the timing, placing, and area around here to get them to grow. I made a lot of mistakes and probably still will. I was so very disappointed last year with my ability to grow semps that I just gave up, left the group and planted other things.

Our humidity and heat during the summer is not something they seem to like. When it's not wet outside, I'll count the ones I have left. I'll never plant them in small containers to wait for warmer weather again. I'll plant straight in the ground. Most planted in the ground have survived. I'm Living and learning.

I've got to learn this new forum. Where is the database?

Lynn, how are you, and Chris, how are you?

Go to the top of the page Linda and click on the Plant tab. You can search by genus, or just if your know what plant you are looking for, just type the name in the search box.
It's easy to add your own photos also. The database is growing leaps and bounds.

We have all learned by trial and error when it comes to growing things. At least I know I have. Sticking tongue out

I'm doing well. Green Grin!

I'm doing good too Linda. You must have some luck with semps because you sure have a beautiful avatar! I'm glad you've joined us again. This year is a new year to try new things with semps. You'll figure out the perfect spot soon. Smiling

Lynn, can't tell you how touched I am except to say this thread brought tears to me. You are so wonderful! Thank you so much for all your prayers. Because of yours and so many others praying for Ray, he is for the first time in 2 yrs. pain free.
Yes Chris, Ray was already scheduled for cancer surgery when the Kidney Stone attack happened.
To God give the praise and glory.
Hugs to all you great loving friends.

I'm glad to hear this. I "see" you elsewhere, Faye, and left my messages there but hadn't seen an update.
