Hi...I finally have made it over here. I am Nanny_56 from DG but will just go by my name here. I am close to having very few good spots left to plant lilies in the garden. I do have on pot already of lily bulbs. Mostly extras of a couple of types that I send to people from time to time. But I am considering making more pots of lilies to be able to grow more!
Would love to have suggestions on which ones would be really good to try in pots. I just need more lilies!!!

I think there are quite a few lilies sold as pot lilies. A lot of them have the name 'Tiny' in them. And the Sunny series is shaping up to be really nice pot lilies.
Here's a website that shows some of the tiny asiatics.
I have has success with most asiatics and the Border Lilies or Pot lilies are really nice. I unpotted the taller ones like Loretto just wanted the pot for something else.
but had Tiny Athlete return last summer
Most of these are described as 20 inches or less in height. A few may be a bit taller. Lots to choose from! I would say that if you prefer taller lilies (3 ft+) you should use larger pots, both for balance of form and again for stability. Some of the tall lilies can get pretty heavy when in full bloom!
Considering the oriental bloomtime I would need assigned pots just for them.Asiatics could share a pot with coleus and other annuals because they are out of bloom in July.
This is wahat happens to me in winter when I am bored.
I have done very little container gardening and just annuals, except for my one pot of lilies bulbs. I have had it going for 5 years now. I do have a couple of large pots I picked curb side that someone was throwing away!

I put my extras out on the curb and they disappear within minutes... lilies, irises, daylilies etc. I think that people in the apartments across from me know to keep an eye out!
