Oh, THAT kind of geek! Sorry, I'm a computer-nerd, and translate "geek" differently.
That said, I'm also a short tubby curly haired gal who feels like a geek around a lot of fancy dressed tall beautiful people

Count me in on the short, tubby, "only" wavy hair group!
I used to be very shy when I was young. I completely got over my shyness, but can at times be reserved. But most of the time I can't keep my mouth still.

I'm tall (almost 5'8") plump and used to be quite shy. Have gotten over that except speaking in front of large crowds. I always had trouble doing that in school and not sure that I ever got over that.

"reserved" is a good word. "Cautious in new surroundings" is another phrase I like to use.
So Doris, if you'll remind me of the details for this Sat, and promise me that I won't be sitting there alone, I could meet y'all there

You guys are all cracking me up! And you know what I consider faaaaarrrrrrrr more important in people than their looks? What's inside. Cause without good stuff on the inside it just plain doesn't matter if they're the most beautiful thing ever set foot on this earth! I'll take my friends however they look cause I don't pay any attention to that part. Heck, most times I can NOT tell you what the person I was just talking to 1 minute ago was wearing. Not even the color!

Ann, you are so right! Most of the time here we do not know what each other looks like. We can tell a lot about a person by the posts that he or she makes. That shows what is on the inside.
And we have an awful lot of people with good souls here on ATP. We surely do! Makes me smile.

OK y'all... I'm gonna step out of my comfort zone in a HUGE way, and go meet a bunch of strangers next Saturday (my therapist would be so proud of me). I've already got butterflies in my tummy thinking about it, honestly.

Short and tubby lol have been contemplating a daylily diet. No more plants until I lose 10 lbs. It will help with my Spring planting. Each consecutive 10 another new awesome plant!
The doc told me it would be best if I lose weight. This isn't anything new but this yr I have Lupus and I am having more pain and stiffness.
Maybe we could start a dl lovers diet support thead. I am buying many more fruits and veggies.
Mary, we are all proud of you! When we step out of our comfort zone which is painful for us all, we have the opportunity to grow. Just take a few deep breaths before you walk in, and I will be there to greet you. Consider me as someone you already know.
