Photos taken in early October - they looked like they may have been permanently planted (hardy), but it was difficult to tell.

Low growing, mat forming.

Nope; unfortunately, I don't have the plant. I was visiting a garden center for other activities and had my young son with me, so no plants were purchased that day. I'm going to try to make another trip out there this spring....perhaps I can pick one up then. Smiling

Now we have another to add to the DB! Hurray!

I tip my hat to you.

The garden center had it placed in a rock garden display as a ground cover. It was lovely in that setting!
I'm hoping they took a bunch inside for the winter and will have it available again this year. Lovey dubby

And it loves bad soil. One little Aptenia plant has taken over my entire scree bed, which is just gravel poured a couple of inches in depth onto a concrete former driveway.

I would thing that type of growing condition would make it hardier Zuzu. All that great drainage. I might have to give it a try using your method.
