Got a nice Clematis and Schizophragma roseum from Brushwood.

He has sent me some very nice Roses, too. They are climbers for an arbor.

You know I had to go look that one up, Janice. Hilarious!

Cool vine!

I got an Ampelaster carolinianus from them last year (as well as some really nice clems), and I really like it. I do, however, hope it sets blooms a bit earlier this year.

I got a nice Kniphofia 'Lola' Poker Lily from Edelweiss, they seemed to have a good selection. It came in a quart size container and it was crammed full of roots.

I chose the Lola because it was the biggest and I just wanted some Wow in the garden. Hilarious!
I also decided to buy some ladybugs for the garden this year and I wanted to start off with a lady bug feeder. Hopefully will keep them happy till the bugs get more plentiful.

All you do is hang it near a bush that might have been used for hibernation. You just put a raisin or two inside, it said you can soak the raisin to hydrate it and make it plump and juicy the way they like it.

I thought about 'Lola', but I'm zone 6 and it's not hardy for me. I didn't want to grow it as an annual. I'm getting 'Nancy's Red', though from HCG. Thumbs up

OH man oh man. I hadn't been bad over the winter to order plants for the garden but really did just go nuts just now. Just hit the order now for bulbs from COLORBLENDS. Mostly Tulips. I have never ordered from colorblends before but I have seen their tulips on their website. They really have the most beautiful tulip blends. So I ordered-

100 1295 Bloomsday
100 1414 French Blend
100 1417 Parrot Blend
100 1474 Three Queens
100 5021 Crocreation crocus blend
25 4055 Hyacinth Jambalaya
50 1021 Humilis Violacea species tulip
25 1302 Beauty of Spring
25 1753 Christina van Kooten
25 1423 Cockatoo
25 1286 Cretaceous
25 1433 Marilyn
25 1553 Semper Maxima
100 1464 Pillow Talk

Most of these are tulip blends. Just spent about $425.00. Ack!

I have a tendency to go overboard sometimes. But this is just my first bulb order for this fall. I also intend to order from Scheepers and probably from Brent and Beckies.
