I'm already shopping for bulbs for planting fall of '12. Whistling

I saw a few that aren't listed as hardy here. Watsonia and Tritonia are two of them.

Would they still bloom if they were planted in containers in early spring, or would they require a too-long establishment period?

I would think they would bloom just maybe later than early spring. They are winter growers for me.

I do believe I will! Big Grin They're on sale right now.... Rolling on the floor laughing can't pass up a deal!

Does anyone know offhand, if critters like to eat these? I cover my fancy tulip's pots to keep the rodents hungry....wondered if I should do these the same way.(??)
