On facebook there's a nursery, Siam Adenium, that posts fabulous photos all the time. Gorgeous trees that look like azaleas, thirty feet tall. Adeniums of AMAZING variety. Trees with rainbow bark. Huge tropical trees, over fifty feet tall. Ha, $5 for ONE seed!

If I lived anywhere near this nursery, Siam Adenium, I would visit often and put myself right into the poor house. But since the floods in Thailand put so many Adenium nurseries out of business, Siam Adenium is overloaded with orders, and their prices are astronomical. I've sent for the price list twice, and they have been sold out both times.

We should stick to Loresco, Durham Botanicals, and other American sellers, for plants I thimmk.

For seeds, then, adenium_ko on ebay. He sells as few as 10 seeds, and has mix of seeds as cheap as 100 for 99 cents, $4 shipping per order. Over two hunderd choices! Individual colors, and mixes.

I order from them few years ago....500 seeds for $50.00 bucks- 10 variety and 10 seeds each packet. I have a very good germination , but never did get a chance to see it blooms when my hoop-house collapse on snow storm.

I give away seeds and seedlings later to different people cause it was too much.

I just order seeds from "kingadenium"....it's Db. waka-waka seeds, triple white fragrant, triple black king. They were 20 seeds each packet with extra. They also send me bonus seeds of "liliput adenium seeds. I haven't plant any since we are in a process of finding a house in Ft. Lauderdale. When we do I am planting it there since I heard it is always warm all year around.

Cora: My first night in Ft. Lauderdale, years back, it got down to 28, that's twenty eight degrees! Brrrr! So, MOST of the time Ft Lauderdale is warm. Do not get rid of all your warm clothes! Most winters it does not freeze, but gets quite chilly. It's a great town!

This flower just opened, from "New Yellow" seeds. It's palest yellow, then the sunlight makes it have the pink stripes the next day. Click the photo to enlarge so that you can see the stripes. OK

Doris, his on e-bay now! I just type in "King Adenium". He has a lot of seeds listed on e-bay for 20 seeds for $2.99.

He charge $5 for phyto-certificate if your order is less than $30 though...shipping $4.

Thank you, have you grown any of his seeds yet, I guess you know they do not come true from seed so there is no telling what you will get unless you have a reputable dealer that is honest about the parent plants, guess none of us know what we get until they bloom.I hope you are not dissapointed.

I wish you luck Cora, they will most likely sprout for you but may end up being the common pink ones which to me are just fine to start with, then you start wanting different ones, b ur as Melissa, and Mike can tell you they are hard to get from seed unless it is from a retable dealer.

the problem with seeds are unless you have a controlled enviroment or you protect you plant from any pollen you don't know the male pollinator and even if you do have controlled pollination it has to be some one with several generations of controlled pollination or it is like a man and woman having babies traits can be different from one seed(kid) to another and they can skip generations. in my family on my mothers side every 3rd generation seems to have twins we traced it back 18 generations and that is why seeds you kind gamble with them. But there are farmers that have been in business that take great care and have proven seeds for 3 or more times they are the ones you can trust and the worst thing you relay cant figure out who they are other then word of mouth and still that isnt always corret do to some might just get lucky. the bizarre thing i was reading is some one planted i full seed pod worth of seeds (just 1 pod the same pod ) and got 3 different colors 2 almost the same like harry potter but the third was a striped red very small flowers.

so you have to go with what several others have said like i know Melissa (coconut) and a adenium group i belong to have bought several seeds and grown hundreds of them i would take their advice 99% of the time on the other hand have a great knoledge on basics, how to grow, how to sell, where to get wholesale plants, but not eBay seed sellers i have tryed 2 times and failed 2 times so go figure. i wish you the best of luck and i will tell you i have ordered seeds from siam adeniums an what should be a great cross and they are high$$ i will have some for sale if you like to try out a few BUT did i say hight $$$ with out shipping 100 seeds 80.00 yes that is 8.00 per seed no shipping in that quote i ordered some grafted plants because i HAVE to have ones that are frequent but those with no shipping are 50.00 each!!! and they will be SMALL but im looking in to more a business in the future. you can tree mail me if you think you want any of these seeds Doris is getting a few to try but if you have never grown from seeds you need to start with cheap/free seeds and Doris is being so kind to give me some that will most likely be pink i will be giving small quantity of those away so people can try growing them to start

Mike I hope it is a food thing and not appendicitis. Having had to take my DH to the ER in the middle of the night once, to find out his appendix had ruptured, I am scared of that scenario, Don't take any chances! Hugs to Wil and you both Group hug
