I saw lumps and bumps on the sides of the pot so I decided to dump this baby out and see the mess. It's been in this 3 gallon pot for about a year now. Most of the 'potting mix' was big lumps of tree bark that I got off an old tree, two and three inches big. Many air spaces in the pot. There was about three inches of peat on the top, for the feeder roots. The whole thing weighs seven pounds! Had to cut the pot. It's hanging now.

Here's what it's looked like for all this time, there wasn't much that I planted, certainly NOT all those fat roots were showing!

In the Yahoo group, we were saying we need Adenium specific pots. I said lots of holes in the sides, another person said make them out of rubber, hahahahaha.

Here's another fatso. It grew out, sideways, it's not round when you look from above. I started it off being buried up to his neck. This plant is a JT obseum.

Have you ever used the coco chips as a medium?

We want rubber pots!!!!!!

Sheryl, I cannot afford the coco stuff. Something like $7 a brick here, or I would use the coarse. I get a truckload of chipped stuff from the guys that 'clean' the roadsides.

The guys in India use those black bags, I think I'll try some.
