I'm pretty sure that there are good reasons why one should never be allowed to give a badge directly to someone else. For one thing, each member should have full control over their own profile, and a badge is a significant part of that profile.

Looks good. But you should know that person has made a lot of contributions to the database and therefore already has a pretty healthy pile of acorns.
