I thought my gardening Friends might enjoy this article, so wanted to share it. It's from a friend of mines blog, Grant Meyer. It's about using some of your old dinnerware and serving pieces as garden tools.

Fun blog! And he finally explained so I could understand WHY too big a pot is not always a good thing. Heh heh, but I've been appropriating the tableware for some time now for potting and repotting!

I use silverware, too. I also use them in cutting up and planting wintersown seedlings.

Just stating a fact. Sometimes I plant out those seedlings when they're so teeny, a trowel is too big. A spoon works better.

And if I'm way behind on planting out, and I end up with a jug that looks like this, I cut the blob with a dinner knife, or sometimes separate by pulling apart with a fork, and plant with a spoon.
