Thank you!

I fell in love with that wild looking little daffodil the first time I wen tto the Philly Flower Show... have them all around my little dogwood tree in front, and they've multiplied so well that I thinned/replanted out there last fall and had bunches to tuck in when I was planting out back, gave a good number away, too. They're just too cute!

Thank you! Duke beat Boston College, and then we toasted marshmallows in the fireplace for s'mores... happy happy day, and now I'm ready for zzzzzzzz

I've got a couple more RES daffs blooming in the back but otherwise just a few crocus flowers.

My crocus aren't even up yet here. Just those daffs blooming in the front yard. Sounds like you had a really nice birthday. Thumbs up

:-)

I wonder if the odd weather this winter will result in a bigger "spread" from early to late blooms... The light purple crocuses in Joyanna's crocus patch have been blooming since Feb. 1, and yesterday some yellow & white ones just started to show.

OK, not a daff... but yellow!

Good point. I was actually wondering the same thing. I have that section in the front yard were not this past fall but the year before I planted 200 Long Trumpet Mix Daffodils from Scheepers. It did start with the very earlies first of course and finially ended with a very late variety. Blooms opened in waves and bloom times overlapped so that it was a sea of blooms for the weeks those daffs stayed in bloom. So I expect lots and lots more blooms from them later. But this past spring the earlies didn't start this much earlier than the others. This year those earlies are blooming while others in the collection are breaking ground now. Quite a difference from before.

Thanks for the great pics and Glad I saw this thread. Usually I rake a few weeks before Galanthus bloom so I don't disturb anything. Well this year that's now! Only a few daffs. barely poking thru so no harm.

Pretty Tulips. Going to be quite a while until tulips bloom here considering they are just starting to poke leaves thru the soil now.

Thanks Rita. With this crazy weather we're having in the south the plants are blooming much earlier than in years past. This is my first year planting Parrot tulips, and they're listed as late bloomers. Clearly they must not know this Rolling on the floor laughing

Here are more Ice King. Some of them seem more like Ice Follies, and don't have double blooms, but that's ok with me. I just love my daffy-dillies Big Grin Big Grin
