My least favorite are doubles but all daffs are beautiful. I really love the new modern ones that are two tone and those that have the deeper orange trumpets. But I love the old plain yellow ones too. I could have daffs everywhere in my yard and it would never be too much! Hilarious! Big Grin Actually I am trying for just about everywhere because each fall I add some more daff bulbs. This past fall I planted 200 new ones, the year before about 600. Year before that about 200. So you see I just keep on going. I usually plant some tulips also as I love spring bulbs.

These are blooming today over on the right side of the yard. More of the Early Sensation daffs.

This is the left side today were the earliest bloom had started. More of the Early Sensation bloom each day but also more and more of the other types are coming up and showing folliage because this section was planted in a long trumpet mix I bought from Scheepers two falls ago.

This is that section from further away. In the summer I plant zinnias were those daffs are. At both ends of the daffs and in the front section of that plateau are mostly daylilies. There are lillies and roses at the far left end and more lilies and tall beared iris at the far right end. So this entire section is a mass of bloom most of the summner. The daffs and other spring bulbs are there to start of the show come spring.

Nothing blooming here yet, so I'm loving all your gorgeous pictures.

I like the doubles, as long as they can keep their heads up.

Thanks Rita, Tee, and Polly. Typically we use pine straw or bark for mulch here. I prefer the pine straw, it breaks down quickly, and doesn't harbor bugs, or get moldy underneath as the bark will. The pest control guys also say the bark can contribute to termites getting in your home.

Lots more of my MARIA daffs are open today as it is such a sunny and warm day. Really does feel like spring. The MARIA daff blooms are not really very big but I just love the colors on them.

I was so impressed with the Maria daffs when they bloomed last spring that I planted more last fall in a totally different area of the yard. These are in the front yard and the new ones are in the back yard.
