Hi There - any advise on when to transplant new seedlings from the starting spot or peat pot to a bigger one? Is it when it has it's first set of true leaves or the 2nd?

I usually transplant them when their roots start showing thru the drain holes of you cells. Some times there are specific instructions on a seed package regarding transplanting times for the plant types that stall out if then are in a tiny pot. Most will go thru a growth spurt after transplanting.

There was a post today on DG about some videos on YouTube showing starting seeds and then transplanting them .. very interesting. You can find them by searching for nctomatoman ... he has several out there.
