I spent last year burying my head in the sand, determined that the weather would change. This year, while I hope you are right, I'm going for realistic, especially since I'll have a few other things to worry about.

I have started some drought tolerant annuals for the plant sale (which also means that I get some too!)

I also am wishing for nothing but good news for the state of Texas this year. But I agree with you Trish...best to go for realistic. It's so sad that so many have lost so many trees & other foliage. It's heartbreaking in the extreme.

But no matter what turns out weather wise the Whitinger family will have joy come June! And you Trish WILL have your hands full. Enjoy doing your hardscaping projects & adding bird baths. Better times will come again for your state.

Take good care of yourself. There are about 2,000 or more people waiting with your family for that special day. Lovey dubby

Congratulatins, Trish and Dave! I hadn't heard (or read) that you were expecting again, how wonderful! Better gardening days ahead I hope... and better weather.

I also try to not overwhelm my DH Tony with garden projects, but luckily he loves gardening and making things! This year it's a raised veggie bed...
