We are starting to plan for our spring swap that takes place in Florala, AL on the Florida/Alabama line. We have been doing this swap since the early 2000's, 01 or 02. It is lots of fun to get together with other plant nuts. We swap plants, eat lunch, give away door prizes, and exchange ideas and information in a very relaxed atmosphere. At this swap we don't do plant for plant swaps very much. We just share our plants with others and always go home with more than we intend to. This started on Dave's original site and is in conjunction with others there. If you've not been to a swap before, maybe this is the year you should do it and this is a good place to start. We usually have around 16-20 people, but have had around 50 at one swap, so you never know. Join us for a day of great fun. Details will develop in the next few weeks as we talk it over.

Thanks Pam for posting this here. We do have fun.

In the past we've had folks come from Canada, Gordon Hawk from New York usually makes the spring swap...Louisana, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama and of course Florida. Come one...come all...everyone is welcome. Just getting started and nothing to swap?? NO PROBLEM...we always have extra to share. No set date yet, but talking about April 21 or 28 or May 5. Ya'll come and put faces to the names of some of the folks you chat with. Smiling Smiling

I think the 28 th of April looks like will work well for most. I hope this won't prevent your sister from coming to visit, or prevent you from coming to the swap. I am going to make it official today and start the next thread with the date.
