I thought someone else would kick-start this thread for February but I ran out of patience so here I go. We came from The thread "Show Us Your Garden 19 (January, 2012)" in Orchids forum. This is the place for all the orchid fanciers to share the rest of their gardens with the group.
I may be going out on a limb here as it is only the first week of February but I am declaring winter over, at least here in Florida. It has been around 80 for a solid week and I had to turn on the AC for a while this afternoon to cool off the house. It wasn't much of a winter anyway as we had two consecutive nights in the thirties back in early January and that was the end of it. No freeze or frost in the garden and the plants are all doing well. I do have some singed banana leaves but the stocks are fine. I'll start by showing some blooming fruit trees:
Avocados, Mangos and pomegranate:
A walk around the rose garden:
Hibiscus:
Three colors of lantana:
Tibouchina:
Iochroma:
From the yellow garden:
Scarlet milkweed for the butterflies:
The crazy agave with the seven foot flower spike is blooming and full of bees:
Blue plumbago:
Duranta golden dew drop:
The curly-Q copper leaf was not touched by the cold and now stands seven feet tall.
Golden cestrum
Euphorbia 'Diamond Frost' :
Begonias everywhere:
The first African iris of the season is opening.
It's always fun to take a weird picture of datura. It never stopped blooming all winter.
Dwarf Walter's viburnum is blooming.
Nice berries on the nandina.
Pink Jatropha:
And finally, a look up in the orchid tree. I'm tired!
