Woofie: Thank you. The plants is Eranthus hyemalis. Love it. I just jumped into one of the threads in the forum for plant id that said "yellow flower". You folks are so good and quick and eager to help. I appreciate everyone's effort and kind help. You are all great. Love all the suggestions. Thanks everyone. Now I can give the id to my husband's cousin. She said she finds that it is not a fast grower. So now she can do some research on it herself. She is mailing me some as we speak. doglover

Confidence is that feeling you have right before you do something really stupid.

That's alright, as I said I am learning my way around and am not sure about starting forums or threads. I just jump in and start typing hoping someone out there will know where to guide me in the right direction if I am doing something incorrectly. Love everyones help. I can not beleive how much knowledge is here in All Things Plants....WOW. wonderful.

doglover, first Welcome!

It's very easy to start a new thread, but you won't be able to start a new forum.

Choose the forum you wish to post in, such as this one is Plant ID Forum which is the correct place to find the name for a plant. Go to the bottom of the threads you can see on the page, there you will find you can put a title for a new thread and a post.

You may want to go to your profile, there is a tab at the top of the forums, on the bottom of the banner, for Profile, there you can change your site preferences. You can choose how many replies you can see on a page, this is convenient for those who have slow speeds as once the set replies have been reached a new page will be made in the same thread. For example, you set the number of replies or 'items' as it says to 20, after reaching 20 posts the next reply will be on page two. There's other options you can set there too.

Only the members of the Members group may reply to this thread.
