I can't seem to get the "log out" to work.
Tried it several times, get the message that I am logged out.
Then check the main page, and still logged in.
Am I doing something wrong?

Shirlee: I just logged out and clicked to go to the home page and I was logged out. I had to log back in to be able to post so I don't think it's the ATP site. Hopefully someone with technical knowledge will know what's happening and be able to give you some advice. Have you tried again since your earlier log out to see if it's still happening?

It may be that you did get logged out but when you went to the homepage you were viewing a cached copy of it from your browser.

Next time you logout, go to the homepage and then actually refresh the browser. If that still shows you logged in, hold the shift key and then hit the refresh button. Then see what happens.

Thanks Dave.

There's no harm in staying logged in, as long as you're not worried about someone else walking up to your own computer and using your browser to access ATP in your name.

I stay logged in too. No chance my husband is going to use a garden site. It drives him nuts that I never close my email or log out of it either. He thinks email should be private. I tell him I have no secrets, I'm not worried that he'll see email from some (imagined) boyfriend of mine...

I never log out of ATP or Cubits
