Yes, it is a beautiful hosta and a portion of the money goes to the 'Breast Cancer Foundation', always. The hosta was in remembrance of a long time employee at 'Walters Gardens.'

If you don't mind buying small, check out 'Country Boys Gardens', I've done a lot of business there and usually get two year plants for the price of a liner. Last year I ordered about 40 just from them. Great packing too, I highly recommend them. Green Grin!

Shannon, you are always better off going to a nursery that specializes in hostas than to one that warehouses plants for sale. My number one reason for wanting to know that the people I'm buying hostas from live and breath hostas is so I don't end up with virused plants or those that have nematodes.

I got a few from 'Bentley Gardens' also but I don't think he is on eBay anymore. I also ordered from GardenBreezeHostas and they were just as good. That is where I got 'Valley's Glacier', White Feathers, Blue Ivory, and Liberty. I ordered one time from 'Hosta Bargains.'
I bought two or three from 'edshostagarden99' and I did not like the hostas in a peat pot. They are the only ones that just sat there and did not grow at all. I finally dug them up and riped off the bottom of the peat pot so some nutrients could get to the roots. The pot was blocking the good dirt from geting to the roots and I am assuming they put cheep topsoil in there because they did nothing. Angry

I would like to add COUNTRY MOUSE, JEWEL OF THE NILE, CATHERAL WINDOWS and more. Does anyone trade hosta on here?

How about Bentley's Co-op hosta? If you ordered, where you happy with it?

Thanks,
Teresa

Bently has a hosta coop but only selling six packs? I would like to add Cathedral Windows and Peppermint Ice, I will probably get them from Country Boy's Garden, two year plants for around 5.00, actually that's better for me because the liners run about the same price and they are so small, so why bother. I also want Northern exposure, Lakeside Kaleidoscope and Wolverine. Lovey dubby Lovey dubby

The hosta coop from Bentleys is listed under Mamajack's cubit, here is the link if you want to check it out. http://cubits.org/notfortheserious/forums/view/coops/----scr... down to ORDER THREAD, HOSTA SIX PACKS.

Oh, yeah I forgot. Was nothing I was really interested in. I looked all year for a Cathedral Window and everything was 20-25.00 and I could not justify that at the time. Country Boys was offline the last three months of 2011 because of a tornado. Now that they are back up I have found one I can afford.OH, I agree I appologize, I just went to the sight and saw 'Lakeside Love Affair' Lovey dubby !!!!!!! OMG, I also overlooked the fact that he offers free shipping. I think he has Peppermint Ice as well. I just might get them from him after all, because I have wanted that hosta for so long and never saw it for sale before. I gotta go!! Thumbs up

* Peppermint Ice was sold-out.

I ordered one too, along with the Lakeside Love Affair and Peppermint Ice. What really impressed me with Bentleys is he is offering the free shipping and the plants in the four inch pots are supposed to be in their third year, I read the threads and that is what he told someone. Hurray! So they are definitely not liners. Thumbs up

I ordered from Bentley's coop last year and he sent really nice sized plants! They really know how to package them, too. The hostas looked like they came from a nursery instead of mail order. Not one leaf bent or creased. I'm definitely ordering from him again!

Susan,

Not sure if Stephen King is scary, but it sounds interesting! It's an upright with really dark petioles, and I have a friend that LOVES Stephen King. I thought I had an Autumn Frost, but can't find it on my list, so I ordered one...I'll probably find it this spring when things start coming up! Rolling my eyes.
