When I just left clicked onto Karen's link; Click here for Seeds (sowing, growing & collecting) Cubit; a new tab popped up! Green Grin!

Hope it does that with all the links! Thumbs up

pardalinum said:I'm talking about the ATP preferences... The option is as I copied/pasted above. Mine is set to Yes. Then when I click on a link it opens in a new tab (not the same as a window).

It's your browser setting that determines whether it opens in a window or a tab. For instance, my firefox browser is set to "open new windows as tabs" -- so my ATP profile preference that says "open in new window" actually opens new tabs. Dave can't phrase it to accomodate everyone's browser settings, so he used the standard browser terminology

Well shut mah ever-lovin' piehole. "Middle click" was new to me. I like it. (Thanks, Trish). When I middle click it opens in a new tab BUT doesn't force me to go there pronto, it loads while I stay on this page. I never cared for clicking a link then being automatically whisked there, away from the present page.

Learn something new every day, eh?

Sigh. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. I set my Firefox to open new windows in tabs and my preferences here to open link in new window, but I still get whisked away from here when I click on a link. And the "middle click" just does something weird! Oh well, no biggie. Shrug!

Woofie, that's another firefox setting -- same place where you set open windows in tabs... uncheck a box about going to new link immediately

If "when I open a new tab, switch to it immediately" is not checked, then it should NOT be automatically pushing you over to the new tab when you open one. Shrug!

No, no. I mean that instead of opening a new tab, I get transferred to the new site on the same tab.

Oh, geez, Mary! I'm so sorry! Just now read your blog and I can barely see to type! Coming up next week on the anniversary of having to travel that same road. (((hugs)))

Mary,

I read your blog about your dear old doggie and I was in tears all the way through! It tugged at my heart the whole time. What a sweet and lovable doggie! I'm still teary eyed. Pets sure have a hold of our hearts. DH and I have two lovable bunnies who are healthy and are 10 years old now and the whole time they rule the heart and house. Can't think of ever being without them. My heart goes out to you. Group hug Group hug Group hug Group hug
