wow, there are some pretty scary reports about that vine... and it appears it will take a 2-3 years to bloom... so I will have no instant gratification this year... well, I don't know if I want to wait that long... I wonder if it can be planted in a container... I actually have a wisteria in a container and 2011 was year 5 and it bloomed! I actually keep it in my unheated garage during the winter... water once a month...

I still want it... but will plant other annual vines for instant gratification... I want a red climber... maybe I will be lucky with cardinal climber this year... mine never grow fast or really tall... but I will try again!!!

Yes, It will take 3 years to bloom. I love mine but as you can see it isn't planted where there are flower beds. I do have it coming up in the grass which we just mow over and I have to get into that Evergreen group a couple times a year to cut back runners that have come up in there. It can be a great addition to your gardens if you have the right location for it.
