I spent a few hours at the show today and had a wonderful time. http://sites.google.com/site/d...
I mixed up the vendors tables and exhibits in my selection on purpose - just showing you beautiful things everywhere!
Klaus and I had a fun time today, we took Kammi and Anna to their very first Orchid Show. It was also nice for me too taking a second ( quick) look at everything. After enjoying the beautiful exhibits and sampling some really nice scents , especially those at the proper height for almost 5 year old girls, the vendors were checked out too. Anna chose ( with gentle guidance) a nice Onc Twinkle. Kammi picked out her own Orchid, a pretty, small pink Phal ( pink is her fav. color )
And the bakery at Dearborn Farms is excellent, the chocolate brownies were a hit!
Best in Show
Anna had taken a shine to the pretty ribbons but she understood that they must stay where they were placed....

OMG! Sensory overload! Thank you for posting this Ursula! Now I need to try to look up that Cym Minnekin Knobai Munekazu. That looks like my old reliable one that Kathy found on SBOE site called Ampola.
Carol, the Cymbidiums were gorgeous!! Yes, that one caught my eye!
So many beautiful plants!
You know, around here, this is such a nice show, always in February! The place/Dearborn Farms has a perfect, bright Nursery (with a Glass ceiling) attached and on a sunny day it is just very pleasant to take in the pretty show and check out the vendors.
You know, the funniest thing was that Kammi ( the blonde girl with the straight hair) really got a bit stuck at the vendors. She was ready to take that one and that one and that pretty pink and that gorgeous red Cattleya from Waldor etc. etc. We let her check them out and I explained to her that this happens to people like us all the time, we also want them all, because we love them. And we pick up more the next time....She asked me if she could come again next time and I said yes. She accepted my answer and walked happily off, knowing she had her pink Phal (for now). Oh my!!
