So I'm new to atp and a noob to gardening. (one season under the belt)

Franklin, tn is where I'm out of.

I wanted to know when are others starting thier spring seeds and gardens?
I'm looking to try at broccoli, melons, carrots, and watermelon. Suggestions?

I know as I write this post it's going to be below 30 tonight.
Respectfully,

Vador

Hi Vador!!! Welcome to it all!!! ATP!!! Mid-South!!! & Gardening!!! It is a very addictive habit. I grow tropicals and a few veggies on the side. Someone with the veggie know how will be along soon. I just wanted to say hi!!!

I started some flower seeds the last few weeks but I should have had a v-8(you know that commercial) It got cold and I had to march all of it back in the house since I don`t have a greenhouse. I think it will warm up nicely after this cold spell.

I`m not the expert around here but I like growing veggies. I usually start mine in April since I don`t like starting seeds inside the house. This year I will indeed start some veggies early like at least by the first week of March and plant them out in April.

You need someone familiar with your climate for better advise. I just thought I`d share a little bit.

Thanks for the welcome and for your post gardener2005.

I think I'm going to work on soil conditioning and replacing some wood parts of my raised beds right now. I have not started any seeds inside ever and I'm thinking of doing that this year.

I'm gonna try to put out some soil syrup this week. It is really helping my soil.
