I have always thought they are adorable and so cute. But I don't have any chipmonks here in my garden. So who has them? Love them, or consider them pests. Post you chipmonk pictures here please!

Oh, they are the cutest lil' things but we don't have them in Florida ... only squirrels.

Yep, we don't have Chipmunks. When I was a young teen though we had some family friends who had one as a pet. Can you say WIRED 24/7? Cute but.... well, they finally got rid of him. Wild things like that need to be wild not pets.

I have them every where they dig holes eat bulbs and get in sheds lawn mowers and every thing they can live traps are useless they just come back and bring friends with them

Sounds like Chipmunks can be a menace like Squirrels! I've heard folks say squirrels have gotten into their attic and have eaten through electrical cables causing a lot of damage. A few years ago I moved all of my orchids out to the backyard and hung them in a tree, and lost many of them to the squirrels! I went out to water one day and found bits and pieces of orchids on the ground beneath the tree, tags/labels scattered about and even a couple of orchids totally missing. I said that some mama squirrel wanted to decorate her nest! Last week I hung two Chirita's (African Violet relatives) in a tree off my back deck and happened to walk by the window one day and saw a squirrel munching away ... both plants have nothing left but a little piece of stalk!

I love my chipmunks! I don't mind them digging holes, helps aerate the yard. I even plant sunflowers for them.

I plant sunflowers but they are ment for the Goldfinches to enjoy. Cute picture!

I plant sunflowers for the birds but sometimes the squirrels get to them before the birds even have a chance! This little gal/guy decided to bite off the sunflower head and take it up to a tree branch to dine:

I was just glad at that time that it was the sunflower heads it snatched and not my orchids or other house plants!

I like the chipmunks but they can be little pests at times, they dig in the flower beds and in my containers to hide their seed, they eat some of my plants, they like gooseberries and even rhubarb.

I haven't seen any chipmunks since moving here but we have a lot of those pesky moles. I wouldn't mind the moles if they would leave my plants and shrubs alone.

Tami it's usually voles and mice that eat plants, moles dig tunnels deep in the ground and eat worms and grubs.

No, mine are moles. Small and cute with the pointed snout. I don't believe they eat my plants and shrubs but they uproot my newly planted ones.
