Gordon, Hope you'll make it. Lake Naomi RV Park 334-858-3114. Address is 2765 AL HWY 55, Florala, AL 36442. 'Well, I learned something, didn't think it would have a Florala address, thought it would be Lockhart, AL.

Not a fancy place, some people stay there year round. Pretty pond. Did you go toward Andalusia, AL to go to Mississippi? If you did, you passed right by this place.

BTW, I would love some of that passionflower and oregano.

GinGin, something will change where you will be able to make it. Our hearts will break if you can't come.

Thanks for the contact info Pam... well..I wasn't expecting a place too fancy there.. the other campground was nice.I liked it there.... it had showers as hot as any of the 5 star resorts..
OK.. one of each passifloa and oreagano..cousin.. temptation is a real darling... a strong grower.. heavy flowering.. and it sets fruit to most every flower.. it's a triploid.. meaning it has extra chromozones.. and the extra energy for everything as a result.. you'll love it...

OH Goos Carol... don't guess your cactus has bloomed yet... it takes a bunch of years to get it going... I was told you have to ..keep the babies knocked off the mother plant to get the flowers... I just knocked off 21 babies this spring.. and I have a bunch I knocked off last fall..growing since then... but that's what mine looks like flowering... if you need some help in keeping interest up with it..
JT...sure ... I hope to have more Temptation up by then and a friend is sprouting some that are already up.. so you'll have another .maybe not as big as last year.... what happened to yours from last year.. or do you just accept every temptation that comes your way..[much like I do ] .. Whistling

Gordon, I would love any cactus you have to spare. I do have a good size standard FI Rachel for you. Thanks for giving it a home- are you driving or flying? I may have to bring you a shorter start!

JT, some of the Epiphyllum leaves you shared with me over two years ago have grown enough to bloom. Showboat, Master of Mars and one I have to dig the label out to see. Do you have any photos of yours blooming? Now is the time. I have a No name red covered with buds. .............. And I just love my rhipsalis- they have also bloomed, just not so noticeably!

HAHA JT... you've the same method of managing plants as I do.... they are comming in.. they are going out..... yes.. you'd said you'd had T X T before ... and would like to try it again.. so I left one with you... if you got back with it or not I have no idea... but it should have bloomed for you.. even as such a small plant as you got .. but maybe the heat there slowed it down some.. I was just happpy to have you take something... with your lovely brug I took away.. and I'd be happy to grow any of your new ones if you brought them along with you... I don't think I have any of your old ones I could return.. but I'll make sure you get Temptation X Temptation this round...
Brenda... yes I'm driving .. so size is no problem.. I'll have a pile of cactus... they aren't real fast growing ... but so armor plated it's hard to imaging doing something so egregious to it....not to have it thrive..
Yes Carol... if you got a cactus from me it was that one.. it's the only spiney one I have.. a gift from mothers twin sister before she died.. my aunt Velma grew it up in the MS delta.. and I almost think it was ouside for her... not sure about all winter ... I know I've seen mothers in the snow one time or another.. I asked her what it was planted in for soil.. and she said dirt.. so I knew she was talking about her black dirt with the yellow clay... wouldn't think a cactus could manage that .. but like i said it's got no problems with any condition or any treatment..
OH..I'll bring back some of this pictured beauty.. I think it came from my first visit to Florala.. unlike others of similar types it's bloom doesn't smell bad at all.. and no needles.. I call it my ponys nose... as the plant feels just as soft..

I have added Fish pepper plants and Amaranthus Illumination to my trade list.

GORDON, I started some Summer poinsettia seeds but they have not germinated yet. If they do not, I would like one or two of yours, please.

JT, .................... Can Sandy have the fig, if not spoken for???? Thanks

Brenda

JT, I don't think pawlonia and parasol are the same. There are some pawlonia around the area, will see if I can find a seedling for you.

Thanks, Gordon.

BTW, JT, John Scott emailed and wants to come again, if he can convince John R.

Carol...please cancel the Parasol seedlings.I did some research and found that the seed coating was toxic to bees.Don't need that for sure.
Pam,it will be good to see the two Johns again.I wish some of the other "oldies" could make it.
