I don't think I can do that because of the varieties of ways it can be expressed.

1' is 1 foot.

but

21' is 21 feet.

3' is 3 feet.

I don't think I can so easily script this without making it look bad in several places. I think it would be preferable to have 21' rather than an accidental 21 foot.

Going forward is there a way to prompt for inches vs. " when inputting data?

I added
Write "inches" instead of using quotes
to the tooltip for the height and spread areas.

And are we supporting the use of metric?

Some people have submitted databox updates using metric, so was wondering about that.

Sue, are you saying not to use metric?

Myself, I always convert to inches when I make an entry.

I haven't seen any metric but I mostly work in the daylily database. Maybe some from Canada have been doing entries and naturally do metric?

I am one of those using metric as I was raised with it and have difficulty thinking in feet and inches!
