I only have my & hubby's plants on the computer. I was using it to plan next yrear's crosses. Out other plants are on slides. We love the little guys. I have a seedling which i haven't figured out if it is IB or BB as yet.
You have the most beautiful border beardeds/intermediates, Dot! Just love all of them, and especially POUR IT ON, MEGGLETHORP and BIG VICTORY! Mine keep dwindling, but I do have some pictures from the past that I can post. My desktop is currently cluttered with amoena pictures, so I think I need to start that thread first before I try putting up more pictures, but I promise I'll get it done. Great thread!
Name: Paul Utah (Zone 5b) Grandchildren are my greatest joy.
I've posted these pictures on other threads so some some of you have seen them but things are still a little slow so I'll add them here. Niche, my favorite BB
Betty, The one you call Special Blend looks a lot like the NOID I have posted. What do you think? Mine is not a broad at the shoulders as that one as is is pictured. But the color patern is very close and the lacy edge too.
Politicians are like diapers, they need to be changed often, and for the same reason.
I don't know, SPECIAL BLEND comes from Sutton's and, unless I'm thinking of someone else, I seem to remember that you have some of their irises. When I saw your NOID I immediately thought of Joe Ghio's ENAMORED by the coloring, but now that I check my pictures it really doesn't look like it. Here is the page from the Sutton's website for SPECIAL BLEND.
Well, I guess I keep looking, lol I've had it longer then 2009, and there is no yellow in the standards. The pic you posted looks more like it then the one on Sutton's, but when I look closer, I see the beard is different too. Thanks for trying. Tom

I love the medians.TBI's here are few and far between because of wind. Mediand for height and bloomtime work best. Alas the ones that bloom here are NOID's I will have some named ones this spring.

I too have a white NOID, the only one I've kept. It drives me crazy when I don't know the name of an iris so I always give them away -- except for this one. It's one of my original six to eight rhizomes that I purchased at either Lowe's or Home Depot in 2003 or 2004, and out of those I think four were mislabeled. I purchased this one as MARY FRANCES, and it took two or three years to bloom for me because the rhizome was just about dead when I bought it. But when I saw it I thought it was absolutely gorgeous, and I won't part with it! For a while I thought it might be SKATING PARTY, but then I later received SKATING PARTY as a gift plant and they're not the same. Then I saw a picture of the iris CHRISTMAS and thought it looked a lot like it, so I named it "CHRISTMAS" just to make myself happy!
First year it bloomed
And again in 2011
Sure wish I could find out its correct name, but I realize that's just about impossible.
Oh Betty, I see why you kept it. Being so white, with not much else to go on but form, it will be hard to ID that one though. I only have a couple of all white iris. None that look like that one though. Maybe some day they will have genetic testing that will be cost effective for identifying iris, you think?
