Join me in wishing one of our moderators a Happy Birthday, won't you ?
Hope you're going on a spending spree today and that you come home with lots of treasures ! Here's some early color for you. Sorry...too early for any roses yet !
Thank you, Sherry. I've got the roses, so now I just need the warm days. We're still in the 50s, but at least the sun is shining.
Toni, as luck would have it, today's the day I received my plants from Edmunds' Roses, and I also received a Clematis shipment from Brushwood, but I also have some Amaryllis and ruffled Gladiolus bulbs, which I bought about a week ago and have to plant very soon, before they get annoyed with me and start growing fuzz.
Name: Toni Denver Metro (Zone 5a) Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.
I *LOVE* Glads! My mom used to grow gladiolus (well, I planted, weeded, watered, & took care of them, but she "grew" them, if you know what I mean ) when I was in high school. In fact, she put in some stalks in the county fair and actually won!! Hasn't had a good crop of glads since I went to college... I've thought about growing some glads but I don't really have any place to put them and too much like work for an annual.
At least you can see your ground!! When I ordered from Edmunds on Monday, they told me they won't be shipping mine until late April. Oh well, just 2 more months...
