Working with native plants is such a wonderful experience!
Hunting for the plants you want wherever you can find them, giving and receiving plants from friends and acquaintances, making new friends at swaps.
Many of my plants have come from friends and they all have sweet memories attached to them.
I am sure you will have a great and rewarding time with your project.

I have been slowly turning my lawn into flowers, shrubs and small trees. Each year I do another section. I use drought tolerant native plants mostly. We have so many wonderful native plants here in Oregon.

Thank you, Josephine. I really hope to get a lot done this year. Your front yard is wonderful. I probably should start out front, and I do think most people start there. However, everything I do faces the woods in the back so that's where I'm headed. I do hope that it's a good weather year for getting a lot done this year. Fingers crossed.

Lynn, what I've seen of your yard is beautiful as well. I'm probably going to work by sections too. That is sort of how I've done with the perennials. And this year I'm hoping to add two or three (or maybe four) more trees in the back. I think I'd better rest up.
