I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database! Garden Ideas: Master Level Region: Canadian Charter ATP Member Seed Starter Roses

I just ordered some seeds for this plant. I hope to plant it on one side of my arbour. (John Davis Rose is on the other side). It would appear that it needs a lengthy cold period (stratification) so wintersowing will be perfect.

It does require some chilling-I tried a WS one year,but only got a few planta---could be seeds were not good.

Maybe I will wintersow some and stick some in the freezer for a bit as well

It is good to try different means of germination.
One year I did seed them outside in pots--later in the season but they did not grow very tall that year.
