I bought them as plants. If you want seeds at the end of this season I'd be happy to send you some just remind me around Aug. They are also supposed to be able to start from cuttings if you would like to try that.

Thanks... I will take up on your offer for seeds by the end of this season!!!! I have been looking online and can't get seeds - just the plants. I used to get plants online but I did not have so much luck and this year shipping is really expensive. I am planning a visit to Select Seeds in CT since is close to me to see what I find - also if I go to the Flower Show in Boston I will be looking for that plant also...

They are very nice . They get about 3 ft tall with at least 100 flowers on them , they do tend to need to be staked up from all the weight and do require moist soil.

here is a link to a co op that has 2 other Helenium in it but they are also asking for interest in plants so you could ask and they will see if enough people are interested in it.
I also want to say I am not sure if Mardi Gras comes true from seeds ,I think it is a hybrid which would result in flowers that are close but not quite the same.

Just saw your query about it coming true from seed. It did for me the first year I planted it, but I know sometimes plants like this will revert after a few years if you don't weed out the undesirable colors.
