Okay, here is my wind chime. It is more of a prototype, really, as I am just re-learning the glass cutting. I'll be making more and probably making changes...
So, so sad that lots of beer and vodka had to be consumed to make this, LOL!
Actually, I am thinking that the Budweiser Platinum beer bottles (the smaller blue bottles) might make an interesting rain chain. I don't know that it would make much noise, but it would sure add a punch of color!
yes..lovely blue chimes... i'm glad someone else got in under the wire of Feburary.....they should look great with the sun behind them ...one of my favorite things in my garden is a stained glass pannel of some flowers.. with a blue background... in the evening when the sun is low in the west it shines through the blue to broadcast some lovely bule light onto intems and flowers inside the garden..
Ohhhh... Emmmmm...Geee..... No one EVER said I was entertaining!! Maybe I should quit emptying those metal Budweiser bottles to make Budd vases...........
Just found this thread---I don't have much time to read or post these days!
I made this piece for my DIL's parents last Christmas. I intended it as a chime, but they've hung it inside their kitchen window because they think it's too windy where they are (Nevada) and will get broken.
The sacrifices you made to make them are amazing too.
