I've grown Jack Sprat since it was introduced. It is a lavender/purple with a mauve cast, and has never shown canoed petals here. I wonder if this photo is of a different cultivar?

That is up to you... I just wanted to note that this is unlike any bloom I have seen of this daylily. If they are down south, or this was taken at 6 pm???
