Charlotte Chamitoff has a wonderful website full of daylily info. I bet you'd enjoy it.

Each winter she features daylily gardens from around the world with a new garden each Sat morning. I so look forward to these during our dreary weather.

This year she featured 16 gardens!

The last one with Charles Harper was special in that he presented daylilies through a photographer's eye and gave us lessons. And then we could visit his previous contributions to get an overall view of his home, his community contributions, as well as, his photography expertise.

http://www.daylilydiary.com/
will get you to ChaCha's site to see everything.

http://www.daylilydiary.com/Ar...
will get you to the list of gardens featured this year. Click on a photo to get to the series of photos from each contributor.

Great fun on this rainy, cruddy NE early March morn.

I look forward to seeing the updates every week and especially gardens in different countries. Charles Harper's garden and photography is a must see and his photography tips are a very helpful bonus.

Bobbie, in all the years Charlotte has been doing this -- I never checked it out. I am "starring" your post and will be checking it out!

I would actually like to do something similar here. Have each member post a thread, maybe one a week. Show photos of their gardens, other plants, favorite daylilies, tell a bit about how they started growing daylilies and what their goals are.

Glad that you finally checked them out, Juli. They don't stay up yearly. Band width, I think.

I think it would be a great idea to feature gardens here. I feel like I am late to the game, and all you gardeners have been friends for so long, that you might forget that we newcomers don't know you so well.

In fact, I was just about to start a post on How You Named Your Garden. This topic brought on by you Juli, on FB, yesterday, when I realized that I didn't know that you called your garden SHAGBARK GARDENS. And is that because you have Shagbark Hickories there? If I once knew, I have forgotten.

Don't answer here ;-) as that throws this ChaCha topic off!

(Another BTW, great descriptions of the recent Region2 Symposium on the mother robin. That is where I first met you, Juli! - or was it MWS before that?)

Garden name... I will make that our topic this week! great idea.

Edited to add....
OH - I see you already put up a thread. I'll just change the title to add topic of the week.

I check her site regularly. I love to see any updates on the Hybridizers sie and her blogs are awesome. She has done such a stellar job on the site I think she should get an award of some sort for it.

I agree I love her page of garden/hybridizers/seller etc. I always give the link to it when I meet someone interested in daylilies.
