LARK ASCENDING - Love the colorful beards and lush form!
MY BELOVED
FOREVER BLOWING BUBBLES - I loved this one, but it was not happy here. Ghio's other bubbly one, MY BELOVED, seems more vigorous in my garden.
LUNAR WHITEWASH - Love this one because it reblooms in the fall/winter months.
NOID - I have to finish up with this one because I love it so much. It was mislabeled at one of the big box stores as MARY FRANCES (a lavender), and the rhizome was so dehydrated that it took three years to come to life and bloom. But I dearly love this one. I call it "Christmas" because it looks quite a bit like that flower, plus I love Christmas!
Betty, I love Lark Ascending! I only have a couple of pure white's Immortality, and Laced Cotton. I have one called America's Cup, but it never has bloomed. Here's a couple of shots of Laced Cotton
I like it's nice lased edges.

I really like My Beloved beautiful flower and Lark Ascending is really nice the beards really make it stand out Great Pics!!! Laced Cotton is also very nice
You'll notice a hint of violet when Laced Cotton first opens (pic on left), but that seems to fade and the ruffles seem better after a day or two (Pic on Right)

Winterfest - received it as an unexpected bonus from Schreiner's a few years back. Didn't think I wanted it and planted it in one of the poorest spots in my garden. It shrugged off my lack of respect to grow and bloom like a maniac and is now one of my favorites.
Chantilly Bride - not the best grower, but it sure is pretty
Bluebeard's Ghost - if an SDB is ever to win the Dykes Medal, this one would seem to be a great candidate
Lady Of Leoness - its from a reverse cross of the one that Uncle Charlie came from. It's a far better grower than Uncle Charlie in my garden. The flower is a very light lavender on its first day, but it fades to white after that.
Mother Kate - like Lady Of Leoness, fresh flowers show some color, especially on the standards, but it fades to white on subsequent days. Great grower, heavy bloomer.
Ken, I like that winterfest, and bluebeards ghost is really cute.
Wow, Dot, I've never seen Howdy Do before, I love those multi colored beards, how cool!

Name: Dot or Dorothy Parker Fort Worth TX (Zone 8a)
I have had Howdy Do for many many years. I remember someone in the iris society giving me a piece of it at a meeting. The person who gave it to me said that someone had "won" a rhizome and there was an increase on the rhizome, and that person had broken off the increase and given it to them, believing that the increase was undesireable or something. It was by Monty Byers and one of his best that I grow. I will always have it here. I like it much better than Thornbird, which won the Dykes medal.
