Looks like I have lost my chives?
I have had the same chives in the herb bed for over 10 years , and this year I seem NOT to have any coming up Confused

Any ideas?

wow...that is weird indeed.
Maybe they're just late?
Look for seedlings, can be difficult to spot though because they look an awful lot like a tiny clump of grass.
I don't think I've ever lost a Chive over winter...

I was out today and looking , found 3 tiny starts. I had my glasses on and looked like maybe the roots had been pushed out of the soil then dried up? Didn't find any mole or vole activity?
Oh well who knows. Shrug!

Chelle , thanks for the offer but I have chives at a couple of my work gardens that originally came from my garden I will just get a start from one of them.

Smiling Okay.

I think our plants were mighty confused about the fact that we really had no snow cover this winter.
