Okay Sally, now you've got me looking for fairy garden ideas - enabler! Hilarious! I've got an area near my workshop where I've been thinking of building a retaining wall with cement block and if I ever get it done I had planned to plant ferns in the top "pockets". Now I'm thinking it would be a perfect spot for a fairy garden because it would be about waist level, easy for maintenance of a tiny garden! Thumbs up

It's unbelievable how many ideas you can find - this site has some really cute houses and fairy doors plus tons of miniature decorations. http://www.miniature-gardens.c... Their prices aren't too bad but I'm just looking at them for ideas to make my own. Green Grin!

I checked out that site too. I'm in the process of making another little fairy garden. This one is rock cliffs with a light house and wind blown tree, sandy beach and ocean with a shark swimming through it! I'll post a picture once done. Smiling

Sally, thought of you this morning, found a lighthouse theme on this site. Check out the slideshow! http://www.examiner.com/garden...

I saved these ideas from that site...

Love the roof on this one, hard to see but I think it's made from pine cones?

Awesome!!!! I'm currently having a problem with my ocean. It seems to be low tide no matter how much of this fake water I add!!! Rolling on the floor laughing

You do know that you need to paint your "ocean" floor to make it look the color of water? Hee hee, I once made a little lake with a tiny plastic brontosaurus submerged in it to look like the Loch Ness monster. Smiling

Yes, the bottom layer of fake water was colored a deep blue (there is sand, shells and "sea weed" on the floor). The middle layer was a much lighter blue, now the rest of the layers will be clear. The shark sits in the clear portion. Smiling

Ah, see, I cheated and just painted the bottom and sides of my "lake," dark in the center and lightening up nearer the "shore." Then I just used clear "water." Yours sounds really cute! Can't wait to see pics. Smiling
