Hi Vic,

Color text is only available on blogs and in articles, I think. There might be a way otherwise, but I don't think so.

Yes it was an angry loud week. Today there's finally calm and sunshine.
It was one of those weeks that leaves one a little anxious, sort of jumping at every sound, alert. I guess it doesn't hurt to let caution take over once in a while, does it?

Thanks about the blooms; I was afraid I'd lost them all.

Never Lose Hope.

I made it to 51 because hope springs eternal. And even when mother nature, or anything else around us seems impassable, Hope remains. The sun will eventually shine again, the winds will die back to breezes, the hail morph back to gentle steady pattering of rain on the roof, soaking into the thirsty ground instead of rushing over it. Homes will be rebuilt, lives will be re-started, and while families will still miss their loved ones, the memories will remain fresh and green, like a garden coming back together after a storm.

I'm going to retire and live off of my savings. Not sure what I'll do that second week.

Well, it's the same hope we have every time we plant a seed. It's the optimism within us. So let the storms roll on.

I'm still looking at all these limbs I haven't picked up yet. It's a pretty day and I might get something done before it's over. It's just that the area where I'm thinking of making a raised bed is a little muddy right now, what with the heavy rains that fell with the storms. And the wind . . . well, it's still blowing.

How monotonous the weather would be without Mother Nature pitching a temper tantrum once in a while. It makes our hearts race, our ears prick up & our nostrils flare. We raise our heads at a high, proud angle & face into the wind. We stand against the wind. It reminds us of our strength. Lest we become complacent.
