Apart from the awful journey due to the Olympic games to Chelsea the show was great. being HM Queens Diamond jubilee year it was dedicated to HM, and was stunning despite the weather being very hot and the plants suffering.
Here are some pictuyres, more to come.
Group hug

Looking forward to more pics, Neil! We have one lupine, which I bought a week or so ago, that got so beat up by the winds yesterday. She just fell down, bloom stalks folded in half, so sad. Those kind of winds require extra water, did that and she is recovering, hoping it doesn't freeze tonight. We brought in a LOT of plants. My Colorado mountain town is living up to it's last freeze date... end of May. We were all hoping we were getting a true early spring here... NOPE!

Gorgeous! Neil, do you know how to make the topiaries out of boxwood? I need to replant my dog topiary and would like to try boxwood. Is the boxwood usually planted below the frame and trained around it, or planted within the frame itself?

Dear Brenda, the top people at topiary do not use a frame at all! They use different size box plants to get the basic shape and then with trimming and growth they get what they want!
The frame must be removable and normally you plant the different size plants inside the frame and then trim them to the size you so wish.
The frame is removed and you have the finished product. However there are no set rules for this, but planting them to grow around the frame would make it difficult to get the frame out! Most frames are easily made from cane, especially when doing easy ones like peacocks!
Love.
Neil.

Neil I'm just getting caught up. I do so appreciate you sharing Chelsea with me. The tribute to HM was a nice touch. I really like the tropicals from the Caribbean and am always entertained and intrigued by the displays with vegetables. Do you have a favorite?

Dear Susan, how lovely to hear from you! I if asked don't really have a favourite, but I adore terrestrial Lady's slipper orchids.
This year at Chelsea there were untold new varieties and many very rare ones from all over the world, so that was a great treat to see.
This is the Kentucky Lady's slipper orchid but pink, and is stunning, It is [Cypripedium kentuckiense pink. Unfortunately it did not say if this was a variety or a naturally occurring one,

This is Cypripedium U.R.G. 'Puebelo' and is a hardy hybrid.
Thumb of 2012-06-14/NEILMUIR1/9599c5
This was undoubtedly the star of the show to me as the highly rare Cypripedium calceolus is a rare orchid in the UK although it does grow here naturally.
This is a hybrid and is Cypripedium calceolus Var. pubescens. it was developed in America.
