From Juli on another thread -
If anyone else would like to take us through the seasons in their garden, that would be great! (Bobbie...? I know you grow a lot of plants with your daylilies!?... )

I have enjoyed putting pics together on Movie Maker. Here is one I did for the Spring Garden.

You get to see pics, plus music while viewing!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

A few pics are also from the estates I work on but most are from here.

Bobbie, that is lovely! I wondered if that was you playing the piano! When I got to the end and saw the credits, I saw it was not.

I can't wait to see more photos of your garden through the year! I think it is great to be able to get ideas for companion plants for when daylilies are not blooming - as well as plants that bloom and compliment the daylilies.

Hurray!

Bobbie, what is the shrub (small tree?) that was just before the roses? I love it.

Thank you for your kind words, all.

DD, that is a shrub that grows 8x8 or 12x12, depending!

Viburnam doublefile SHASTA

The wedding cake look! I love it. I have it here and on several estates. Pic is from my sister's in quite a bit of open shade (next to the driveway) Approx 5 yrs old in the pic. Blooms here at the mid/end of May into June.

Doublefiles are nice. The hybrid SHASTA even nicer. Best to enlarge the pics below.

BB your property and gardens are just stunningly serene with the trees, water and blooms. Now if I could just come and pick up my plants and walk through it instead of getting them in the mail I would be a happy lady Lovey dubby Lovey dubby

Bobbie, thanks for letting me know about the Viburnum Shasta. Seems that I remember reading that deer love Viburnums. If not, I know where I'll be planting several soon. Deer love my yard!

Iris reticulata in full bloom today. Two clumps. Must get more!

Back to 40 degrees for a few days and then they are once again promising 60 next week with sun. Finally will be able to get out and get some work done in the gardens. The sporadic nice weather before just produced mud.

This iris seems to bloom just before peak crocus bloom.

Such a gorgeous strong blue. It is interplanted with Stella (seen on top left).

Oh, BTW, do you notice that crocus blooms in order of their color? And where in the garden? They are not open again today so no pics. They need sunshine. My top gardens bloom 2 wks earlier than the lower gardens, and the grade is not that steep. But where the sun is in the sky also shines on the top gardens, and the lower gardens don't really get sun. Just open gardens now, and sun later in the summer.

The pic will look better enlarged. Just click on it!

Oh my, that was such a joy to watch. Gorgeous wisteria, the electric blue of
the iris, and wonderful scenic views. Loved it. I'm spoiled now, and expecting
more.
