Boy, with this heat, it didn't take long for the iris reticulata and crocus to croak! White ones still blooming. And today the hellebores started strutting! Two in the front border. I love the cream but then also love it when the bracks turn that rusty rose color.

My hellebores have been blooming since December and have now faded. They really put on a show when not much else is blooming. That is a really nice white one.

I don't have any Iris reticulata but I sure do have to get some. That sure was a lovely video. What a stunning garden. I especially loved the spring bulbs. Smiling

Forsythia popped 2 days ago. Didn't even have to force these (usually a march thing). Perfect for the big huge blue vase my sister gifted me.

Variegated Lunaria self seeds - not easy to transplant. First year it has only green leaves. Second year they are variegated and then it blooms with WHITE flowers! I love the foliage. Got the first seeds from another daylily grower in Ct. This is all she has. I have to be careful about mine crossing with the purple green leaf varieties.

They are biennial.

I'll save seeds if anyone is interested.

I too grow the white lunaria, but the foliage on mine is not variegated. I find that it likes shade much more than the purple. I destroyed all of the purple to keep all white in my garden. Dame's Rocket blooms close to the same time as the money plant so I still have both colors.

Kate helped dig out wild onions and chickweed today. I took a short vid of the last project of the onions or might they be chives? I used to have some chives in the area, but they never took off like I am seeing here. And the wild onion was dug out of 3 places today.

Not a big job in my sandy soil, at least in this spot.

They have been laid out to dry, and then will be packaged up in a plastic bag and will go out with the rubbish. All those that I have put on a pile of 'please round up me' in the past has NOT WORKED.

The http is only for unlisted private viewing for you guys! Just a quick demo, hopefully to make your project of clearing them out, not a big deal. Just get in there with a small shovel, and have at it!

Another drizzly morning when everything is too wet to work - weed, dig, etc. So I am finishing up my next journal article to get out by noon and just watered my inside daylilies! Well, actually fed them!

I have half dozen about at this stage, started at the beginning of March. Some important ones like seeds from seedlings, new acquisitions, and Another Night. Do you know that gorgeous purple? My kind of daylily!

Anyway, these were started in turkey cooking aluminum trays. Most under lights upstairs but these two live at my kitchen window. They look pretty pitiful next to what you warmer climate and greenhouse guys have!
