Grrrrr..... frustrated.
Just heard from the registrar. A question mark is not allowed in a daylily name even though I and others already have registered daylilies in the past with a question mark. So 3 of my proposed names sent in this week for 2012 need to be amended without the <?> , which of course changes the inflection of pronouncing the name and kinda the fun of the name (making it distinctive)
I gave permission. He is only following international rules.
But, my WHAT'S UP? 2007 has been requested as one to change as well.
Bummer.
Anyone know of other plant names (iris etc) where this has slipped up? Apparently the rule changed in 1997
I'll let you know what the names are once they are approved.
